4 PM Edit: Just read on the Facebook of a friend in Tohoku (different part of Japan) that the earthquake was actually a 7.2 and her building was evacuated!
Then I checked the news-- the Japanese government issued a tsunami warning for northeastern Japan. On the upside, Japan experiences 20% of the world's earthquakes above 6.0. I say "upside" so as not to freak myself out.
11:49 AM Edit: Ah dammit. It started again. Very, very minor. But it's making me slightly dizzy!
11:48 AM: Currently experiencing a minor earthquake. Feels a little like being in the Grimace Bounce and Bend thing at McDonald's playground (on lower left of image).
Ok- it's over now. It was only about a minute or so.
Does Mickey D's even have these anymore? If you want to experience a tiny Japanese earthquake, go to one of these and ask one of the kids on the playground to shake it in a rotational fashion. Even then, it'll probably feel less violent than this earthquake was.
